Who is Boulevard?

Boulevard provides the first and only client experience platform for appointment-based, self-care businesses. We empower our customers to give their clients more of the magical moments that matter most.

Before launching in 2016, our founders spent months interviewing salon managers and working behind front desks to understand their pain points so we could design a modern, user-friendly platform that meets the unique needs of their business. Our roots may be in hair salons, but we are built for the broader self-care industry, including many types of salons, spas, medspa, barbershops, and more. Our technology not only helps our customers survive but thrive. Take a look at how we (and YOU) can make that happen.

We have an insatiable curiosity and embrace experimentation. We believe that simple solutions require the most sophistication, and we design each and every detail to maximize potential, power, and impact. Do our values match? Read through our story and what we value the most.

Our team values and celebrates our diverse backgrounds. Being open about who we are and what we do allows us to do the best work of our lives. We believe in equal opportunity for all, and you should too.

Come do the best work of your life at Boulevard.

  • Ensure that video projects meet milestones, budgetary constraints, and brand standards
  • Stay updated with the latest media techniques, web trends, and production technologies
  • Support as needed for pre-production and production work (video and photo shoots, etc)

What you’ll need to thrive here:

  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable sharing ideas in group meetings
  • Refined eye for video editing and storytelling with a passion and eagerness to elevate standards with other creative people
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing/advertising, social storytelling, and messaging to concept and develop original video content
  • Good judgment about what video content best represents the Boulevard brand
  • Open to feedback and know how and when to defend creative choices and able to interpret feedback and apply critiques
  • A proven track record of digital experience advertising/marketing work, including display, rich media, and mobile executions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with marketing, other departments, and agencies
  • Great multi-tasker with good attention to detail who can deliver quality work on time
  • Experience working in a request queue/project management environment

Required qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience of digital content producing and editing
  • An outstanding portfolio, showcasing high-quality videos
  • Proven experience editing and working with editors and animators
  • Strong color correction and understanding of composition

Nice to have:

  • Experience using Asana or similar project/request management platform

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
