Who You'll Work With

You will be a member the pricing team, providing actuarial support for the Institutional Markets lines of business. 

About The Role

The primary focus will be on the pricing of domestic and international pension risk transfer deals: buy-outs, buy-ins, reinsurance, and longevity products. Responsibilities will include interfacing with business unit management and other functional areas such as investments, underwriting, valuation, policy administration, legal, ERM, and the sales team to ensure an effective and timely bid. You will also support the development of new international markets and current product maintenance as needed, and also maintain department documentation of products and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Technical lead on pricing projects, including deriving assumptions, scenario analysis, producing high quality pricing memorandum or other documentation as applicable, and presenting results for approval, within required timeframe. Success necessitates the opportunity for significant interaction with business management and other functional areas throughout the company to complete pricing projects.
  • Support other actuarial product management/maintenance initiatives as required. This includes providing input to the post-bid process, monitoring the competitive and regulatory landscape, and identifying risks and opportunities in the product portfolio and collaborating on corresponding solutions.
  • Maintain and continue to enhance the pricing model, the pricing process, and department documentation. This entails monitoring company and industry experience and the economic environment, recommending, documenting, and implementing pricing updates and modeling improvements.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Further your actuarial development as part of a large and diverse organization that offers opportunities to learn and contribute to the overall business goals
  • Leverage your technical and business skills to solve complex issues through various techniques, including the development and maintenance of actuarial models
  • Understand the regulatory environment and other standards required for product development, financial reporting and other key actuarial functions
  • Collaborate with senior actuarial talent in delivering the right solutions, focused on driving value for Corebridge Financial and its customers
  • Be detailed oriented, including properly documenting your work in accordance with Corebridge Financial and actuarial standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or other quantitative field
  • FSA, Near-FSA or experienced ASA
  • 5+ years of actuarial work experience
  • Prior experience in deriving assumptions for pricing pension risk transfer deals, pension consulting or valuation, or pricing similar insurance products (e.g. fixed annuities or payout annuities) is a plus
  • Highly detailed oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Compensation

The anticipated salary ranges is $73,000 to $148,000 for positions based in [CO, D.C, IL, MD, MN, WA, NJ, NY & CA] at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will be ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition, the position is eligible for discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of applicable incentive plan.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial's [Houston, TX; Woodland Hills, CA & Jersey City, NJ] office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
