Job Summary:

The Application Architect II - Digital Solutions is responsible for the system design and development of critical frontend platform elements that will support our Digital systems. Additionally, expected to play a key role in defining and delivering strategies to help our Digital platform scale at a national level.

Essential Functions:

Partnerships

  • Driving strong partnerships with our internal Cloud, DevOps, Security, Site Reliability Engineering, and Solution Architecture teams aimed at enabling the Digital Solutions delivery teams.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration with Business & Product Leaders, IT Leaders, and individual teams within the IT organization.

Architecture and System Design

  • Partner with peer Digital architects to scale standard web frontends, PWA’s, and API’s/services to national audiences while maintaining highly performant experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support scale our platforms for growth
  • Define and champion composability guidelines to ensure frontend architectures are flexible, maintainable, and easily combined where needed.

Application Migration Strategies

  • Designing incremental/gradual migration strategy for legacy system to modern platforms.
  • Partnering with peer Digital architects to implement necessary components/tooling to enable an incremental migration strategy.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Seeking 8-10 years of experience in the areas of Application Development and/or Application Architecture.
    • Direct experience in designing/implementing technically diverse application and infrastructure architectures within large-scale enterprise environments is required, preferably in healthcare IT.
  • Experience in many disciplines/areas of IT & Application Delivery including Cloud-based Application Design, Architecture, and Development, Event/Message Streaming Technologies, Monitoring & Observability Tooling/Practices, Relational & Non-Relational Databases, Frontend & Backend Development Practices/Patterns, Infrastructure Code, DevOps Practices, IT Service Management Principles, IT Controls Best Practices in a Regulated/Sensitive Environment, Test Automation workflows & tools.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills; listening and critical thinking; presentation skills, facilitation skills.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders at all different levels.
  • Ability to lead technical evaluations and conduct research & development in emerging technologies.
  • Ability to contribute code to get new initiatives off the ground.
  • Ability to jump in with a development team and contribute code when technical expertise is needed.
  • Working experience with both frontend & backend performance monitoring, testing, tuning, and reporting.
  • Tech Stack Experience (not exhaustive): Modern Frontend Frameworks/Libraries (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, Next, React on Remix preferred), Modern Backend Languages/Frameworks (.NET, Java, Go, etc.), Github, Common Package Managers (NPM, Yarn), PWA development, Mobile-first design, Build tools, Github Actions (similar CI/CD platforms), Azure Cloud

Licensure and Certification:

  • Architecture-level certifications from any major cloud providers, Azure Cloud certifications preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Compensation Range:

$92,300.00 - $161,600.00

CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
