Job Description

THE ROLE: Analyst, Content Research

Join our innovative team at A+E Global Media, where creativity meets data to drive groundbreaking multiplatform strategies. As a Content Research Analyst, you’ll be at the forefront of deciphering complex viewing data across our digital platforms. Your insights will directly shape the strategies of our Programming, Scheduling, Marketing, and Strategy teams, ensuring that every decision is backed by robust, data-driven storytelling.

Curate Cross-Platform Actionable Insights

  • Interpret intricate data sets to identify emerging trends and provide strategic, data-driven recommendations that empower decision-making across the organization.
  • Assess the performance of A+E content across diverse platforms – from FAST, SVOD/AVOD to Syndication and Linear – ensuring that insights are both comprehensive and actionable.
  • Develop and present clear, compelling reports and visual narratives (presentations, one-sheets, infographics) that not only inform but also inspire stakeholders.
  • Proactively track industry trends, competitive intelligence, and market shifts, ensuring our team is always a step ahead in this fast-evolving landscape.
  • Spearhead ad hoc projects with robust planning and execution, constantly refining processes to enhance our analytical capabilities.
  • Partner with the VP to become an internal authority on content, audience behavior, and television consumption habits, translating data into compelling business strategies.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams—including Programming, Marketing, Sales, Scheduling, and Strategy—to align insights with our broader business goals.

Focus on Streaming Viewership (AVOD & SVOD)

  • Deliver in-depth analyses that evaluate program and partner viewership, uncovering opportunities to maximize audience engagement and revenue.
  • Monitor partner performance and program drivers, identifying key trends and patterns that influence consumption and monetization.
  • Utilize partner and program data to optimize our content mix on each service, ensuring that our content resonates across services.
  • Identify trends and patterns across competitive content.
  • Collaborate with sales to develop compelling data-driven narratives that strengthen negotiations and secure strategic partnerships.
  • Identify monetization opportunities by analyzing content performance and informing pricing strategies.
  • Develop strategic recommendations focused on enhancing revenue streams and overall monetization across our AVOD and SVOD partnerships.

Data and Dashboard Maintenance

  • Manage and optimize partner data across A+E Global Medias’ digital assets, ensuring seamless ETL processing and data integrity.
  • Create and maintain intuitive Tableau dashboards, establishing clear KPIs and fostering a culture of transparency and quick, data-informed decision-making.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1-2 years of demonstrated work experience and interest in television, research, or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with the television and digital media industry, especially in the context of AVOD and SVOD.
  • Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Tableau.
  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to identify trends and make insightful recommendations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Media Studies, Communications, Statistics, Data Analysis) is preferred but not required.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Capable of learning how to use new data sets and tools quickly.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

CompensationAnnual Pay Range: $80,495 - $92,569Annual Incentive Target: 7.50%


 

The annual/hourly pay range displayed serves as a good faith estimate of the

minimum and maximum base pay range for this role. Compensation for the role will

be based on a number of different factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills,

competencies, location, and experience. A+E offers a competitive total compensation
