Vast is looking for an Additive Manufacturing Technician, Polymers, reporting to the Supervisor of Additive Manufacturing, to work with Vast’s growing inventory of additive machines. You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the equipment, as well as part post-processing and quality control. 

This will be a full-time, non-exempt position located in our Long Beach location.

Responsibilities: 

  • Growing and maintaining polymer print lab capabilities
  • Creating and completing AM print jobs
  • Verifying machine settings against best practices, overseeing the print process and quality as the machine operates
  • Safely handling material following specifications and developed standards
  • Keep a clean, organized, and thoroughly maintained work space
  • Develop and implement process efficiency improvement projects
  • Independently perform verifications and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner
  • Work with engineering teams to fulfill mission needs through qualification.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of polymers additive manufacturing experience

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to read, interpret and work from drawings, controlled documentation and processes such as: assembly procedures/work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, and parts list
  • Experience working in the military or at an aerospace manufacturing company (spacecraft, aircraft, etc.)
  • Experience driving engagement with others, taking initiative, and helping push the team to new levels
  • Experience with various printed polymers

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Specific certifications, as appropriate

Pay Range: 

  • Additive Manufacturing Technician I: $23.00 - $30.00
  • Additive Manufacturing Technician Technician II: $28.00 - $35.00

Salary Range: California

$23$35 USD

Base salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand. Salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package.
