JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

This is a remote position on a 24/7/365 mental health crisis/suicide prevention focused team. This position will support engagement post-crisis by providing telephonic follow-up to individuals identified as moderate to high risk for suicide that utilize 988 services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide individuals identified as moderate to high risk for suicide a follow-up call within 24 hours of initial call
  • Provide brief clinical screenings, risk assessments, crisis intervention and service linkages to each individual enrolled in the program
  • Develop/Update safety plans during each contact
  • Document and track how many individuals are connected to needed resources
  • Meets the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation.
  • Actively participates in ongoing supervision, training and team meetings.
  • Assist in administrative tasks as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.
  • Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and competency in providing service linkage and referrals for programs, services, and other community resources.
  • Knowledge of suicide assessments.
  • Skill in providing crisis intervention.

QUALIFICATIONS

         

Education Level

Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist.

Years of Experience

One year of related crisis experience is preferred.

$18.20--$25.50
