Amazon Prime offering free same day delivery

GameFly acquires Playcast

 

The LA-based game rental and subsciption serive GameFly announced it will introduce a new video game streaming service. The service will be powered by its acquisition of Playcast Media Systems, an Isreal-based cloud gaming platform. GameFLy also announced that Amazon Fire TV will be the exclusive streaming media device for its new service at launch.

Hone passes 2 million engagements 

Last month, for the first time, content created through Hone technology generated more than 2 million engagements. In May, publishers and brands created more than 50 Hone-powered native content such as quizzes, surveys and polls.

DataScience grabs $6M

 

LA-based data analystics service DataScience collected $6 million in Series A funding this week. CEO and co-founder Ian Swanson said a majority of their funding will go towards expanding their team as they prepare to move to a larger office in Culver City.
