Orca Security pulled in $55M. The cloud-native security company just closed on its Series B round led by ICONIQ Growth, bringing its total venture funding to date to $82 million. This raise follows the company’s Series A earlier this year. The startup’s tech can quickly map out and scan a client’s data estate and cloud assets for security concerns without human maintenance. The capital will help Orca expand its product and up its efforts in sales and marketing. [TechCrunch]
Sike Insights raised $1M. With the goal of keeping companies’ cultures intact during remote work, this startup is working to bring team members together by helping them develop emotional intelligence. The investment is part of a pre-seed funding raise and will enable the company to develop its flagship product, Kona, an AI-based tool that can analyze how people feel through the language they use in messaging. LA Tech Quote of the Week
CESPPA secured $6M. This seed funding round for the cybersecurity company was led by Fika Ventures and Freestyle Capital. Its platform helps tech companies connect with more than 1,700 security researchers to ensure customers’ information stays safe. Aglet got $4.5M. The startup has created a mobile game that allows players to explore the real world in search of virtual sneakers. Users can build a shoe collection of digital sneakers designed after their real-life counterparts. With the new funds from its seed round, Aglet is hiring game designers to grow its virtual universe. HomeLister raised $4.5M. In an effort to help homesellers retain as much of their equity as possible, this startup’s platform allows users to pay for only the services they want when it comes to putting their homes up on the market. The startup’s seed funding round was led by MetaProp and Homebrew. The capital will help the company invest in tech and marketing, reach more markets and update its website.
