The future of tech in Los Angeles is just about as bright as its beaches. The City of Angels is overflowing with fresh career opportunities for local and global talent looking to get their career started. With so many options, Forbes is providing prospective job seekers a place to start hunting. This week the magazine, in partnership with Statista, released its top picks in its latest list of America’s Best Startup Employers.

Considering data from 2,500 companies that employ at least 50 people, the list narrowed down the top 500 based on their employer reputation, employee satisfaction and growth. Looking to change the course of the Great Resignation, the featured companies are making moves to attract new people, retain talent and maintain growth.

Launched between 2012 and 2019, read on to learn which five LA-based startups ranked on Forbes’ latest list. All of them are currently on the lookout for fresh faces to join their burgeoning teams.

Altruist aims to provide financial advisors with the tools they need to serve more people for less money. The company allows registered investment advisors to open accounts, invest, build models, provide reports and bill clients from one platform. Altruist closed on a $50 million Series B in May of 2021 and has raised a total of $58.5 million in venture capital financing to date, according to Crunchbase. The company is now hiring for dozens of remote roles with a primary focus on expanding its engineering team.

Tripalink manages co-living spaces targeted toward young students and professionals. Each living space comes fully furnished. In addition to LA, the company provides housing options to those living in Seattle, Pittsburgh, Austin, Tucson and Philadelphia. The company closed on a $30 million Series B in November of last year and has raised $48 million in venture capital financing to date, according to Crunchbase. Tripalink is now hiring for over 30 roles spanning multiple departments.

CareRev’s cloud-based platform connects hospitals in need of staff with local healthcare professionals. Hospitals can post open shifts to CareRev’s mobile app where local healthcare professionals can find and claim them. A hospital’s internal employees are given priority before the shifts are released to the public. Last April, the company raked in $50 million in a Series A round led by Transformation Capital. CareRev has raised $51.3 million in venture capital financing to date, according to Crunchbase. The fully remote company is now hiring for dozens of open positions. Available roles span the company’s engineering, growth and product teams, to name a few.

Kinsta operates as a WordPress host for marketers, developers and enterprise clients. The platform is exclusively powered by Google Cloud. With its premium tier network, users can pull from over 20 data centers around the globe. Kinsta hosts sites of all sizes, from small blogs to large-scale enterprises. The company is now hiring for several open positions spanning multiple departments.

Boulevard’s business management platform takes care of a range of back-office tasks. Some of those include scheduling, client communications, marketing, inventory, labor management and more. The company aims to simplify workflows for client-focused industries, primarily for those working in salons. Boulevard has raised $38 million in venture capital to date, according to Crunchbase. The company’s most recent round closed in 2020. At the time, Boulevard’s Series B amounted to a total of $27 million. The company is now hiring for 47 open positions spanning multiple departments.
