From mixers to bootcamps, LA's startup scene has you covered this week. Put aside some time on your calendar and check out these awesome events going on in the city:

Social Media Week Los Angeles, June 8-12 at 6 p.m.

Social Media Week Los Angeles offers a unique program that explores the intersection of social technology and creativity with a week of free panels, presentations, demos, workshops, talks, conversations, and interactive events. Social Media Week Los Angeles, part of SMW Global, emphasizes Southern California’s role as the creative capital of the world, and brings together innovators in the Los Angeles community.

The Evolution of Edupreneurship, June 8 at 6:30 p.m.

Practical innovation and entrepreneurship are more important than ever for education and have come to be known as “edupreneurship” by those bridging education and the business world. General Assembly and CUE Los Angeles will partner to host a panel conversation featuring entrepreneurs and educators who will discuss how we can continue to teach edupreneurship in the classroom and partner with local organizations to help create a new generation of edupreneurs. 

SM New Tech Meet Up, June 10 at 6:30 p.m.

Six new tech startup companies will present their products and technology in a five minute demo followed by a 5 minute Q&A. Tickets are $12, including appetizers and drinks.

Westside Young Professionals Mixer, June 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Join the Santa Monica JayceesVenice Beach Young Professionals, and PeBL for a night of mixing and mingling with other young professionals who live and/or work on the Westside of LA. Find out how you can make more of an impact locally through community service, understand what professional development opportunities exist, and expand your personal and professional network beyond your coworkers or people you meet in a bar.

Axure Prototyping Two-Day Bootcamp, June 13-14 at 9 a.m.

The program will take you through everything from the basics to advanced techniques in one weekend. Best practices will be stressed throughout, teaching good habits, time-saving tips, and tricks to enhance your workflow and deliverables. By the end of the course, you'll complete an advanced prototype of an ecommerce website.
