Plenty of people try to get healthier as part of their New Year’s resolution, but an app like Ultrahuman may actually help you stick to it.

LA fitness and mindfulness startup Ultrahuman announced the launch of its app this week, ahead of its debut at CES 2021. The company also revealed that it recently closed $8 million in funding during a Series A round.

Ultrahuman’s app is intended to help improve the way its users workout, meditate and sleep. It uses biometric feedback from devices like the Apple Watch in order to measure how the user is performing, and guide them based on that data in order to make long-term improvements.

The company’s content is broken down into four main categories. There are workouts, which feature HIIT classes, yoga instruction, running and more; meditations; bedtime stories; and “brain music” picked by “neuro-musicians” to boost productivity or relaxation.

The app recruits the expertise of various celebrity trainers, athletes and professionals. For example, celebrity trainer Kris Gethin teaches body transformation lessons, while clinical psychologist Dr. Shauna Shapiro teaches mindfulness lessons.

The app is based on a subscription model, where users pay for a monthly or yearly membership. You can download the app for both Android and iOS devices.
