Job Description
NBCUniversal is looking for a Special Events Manager to join our Studio Operations Marketing Team in Universal City, California! In this role, you will collaborate with clients to develop, plan, execute, and promote Special Events and promotional shoots on the lot.
What You'll Do:

  • Oversee scope of all events and shoots with clients, various departments, employees, and vendors
  • Manage all details of events and shoots including initial inquiry, site-visit, proposal, client budget, strategic layouts, and on-site operational management.
  • Partner with third party vendors and internal departments, to oversee execution and final billing on all events and shoots
  • Develop relationships with Production Companies, Agencies, DMC's, and CVB's to increase Special Events/Promo client base
  • Market and sell Studio as a social and corporate event venue
  • Contribute to improving and streamlining department processes and workflows
  • Attend trade shows, conventions, and organization functions related to networking and building venue awareness.
  • Accommodate press activity on the lot for internal and external customers
  • Facilitate tours for clients, executives, and government officials
  • Work closely with marketing team on all aspects of campaigns including Website, Facebook, and Instagram platforms

  • Team Oriented - proven success working in a collaborative environment and willing to assist others as needed.


What You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality or related field
  • 3+ years of event planning experience


What Would Make You a Stand-out:

  • Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders at all different levels of an organization
  • Experience using social media such as Instagram and Facebook
  • Ability to lead several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.


Additional Requirements:

  • Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.


This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
