Information Security Project Manager
Responsibilities:
OPERATIONAL READINESS
- Improve Information Security Program definitions with the Sr. Director, Security Operations
- Mature the documentation of all InfoSec programs
- Conduct daily intake on behalf of InfoSec programs
- Publish Service Management Catalog items and deliver documentation through collaboration with Corporate IT SharePoint teams
- Deliver Information Security service definitions, SIPOCs, RACIs, OLAs and other deliverables to the company at large
- Conduct project management and resource coordination on behalf of the Sr. Director, Security Operations for operational programs
- Leverage Agile and Scrum frameworks, as appropriate, to organize Information Security work
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of multiple processes (e.g. intake and PM processes)
- Participate pro-actively in improving Project Management processes and tools
PROJECT SUPPORT
- Act as InfoSec team PM for ongoing projects, including creating and executing project plans, schedules and milestones, and assist in the escalation of identified issues
- Collaborate with InfoSec team members to maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
- Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate efforts and conduct status updates
- Act as the PM point of contact and own the communication of project statuses to InfoSec management
- Ensure projects are delivered successfully, on time and within budget
- Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures for projects
TEAM COMMUNICATION
- Promote effective internal and external communication, ensure transparency, and disseminate information appropriately (e.g. trainings/educations, metrics and executive reporting, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
- Manage team communications and repositories on Company Intranet, Confluence and SharePoint
- Improve/maintain organizational templates within the document repositories
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Business or Operational Management
- 5+ years of experience managing projects in a technology-centric environment
- Proven work experience as a Project or Program Manager in a similar role
- Experience in project coordination and management, from conception to delivery
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
- Familiarity with PM concepts such as Agile, Lean, Scrum and Work Breakdown
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills, preferably in a big-four consulting setting
- Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
Preferred:
- Basic understanding Security Operations and ITIL concepts preferred
- Knowledge Management experience a plus
- Service Management experience strongly desired
- PM certifications or related credentials would be considered a good differentiator
- CISSP knowledge is preferred, CISSP and CISA are differentiators.
