About the Role:
We are seeking a Director, Engineering to drive technical incubation to lead our deep tech initiatives, focusing on AI/ML applications in security technologies such as XDR/NG SIEM, Cloud Security, Data Security, and Identity Protection. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive industry experience and technical expertise to drive our product engineering innovations from concept to market. This role requires a visionary leader who can integrate cutting-edge technologies with our core products to enhance our cybersecurity offering and respond dynamically to the ever-evolving threat landscape. This person will act as a bridge between technical and business units, ensuring that innovations not only align with but also drive our strategic objectives, and will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Engineering.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and expand technology incubation efforts, focusing on new methodologies and applications within AI/ML to enhance our cybersecurity solutions.
- Collaborate with Data Science and Product Engineering teams to translate organizational needs into actionable data-driven initiatives.
- Drive the strategic direction of projects, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and seamless integration of new technologies into existing systems.
- Mentor and manage R&D teams, fostering an environment of innovation and problem-solving.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and external partners to leverage expertise and technologies.
- Design and implement robust evaluation metrics to assess the effectiveness of new technologies and their impact on our product offerings and security posture.
- Bring a thirst for innovation and a passion for leading projects from concept to implementation.
What You'll Need:
- 15+ years of relevant experience in cybersecurity, AI/ML, or related fields.
- Proven track record of leading large R&D teams and successfully taking innovative technology from concept to production.
- Deep technical expertise in areas including, but not limited to, locality sensitive hashing, fuzzing similarity, memory scanning, and threat intelligence.
- Experience in crafting and executing strategic technology initiatives, preferably in cybersecurity contexts.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of motivating teams and interfacing effectively with cross-functional units.

The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $190,000 - $290,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits.
