Position Summary
SHEIN Global Security and Risk Management (GSRM) is a global security organization that oversees security infrastructure, risk management, data privacy, business fraud, governance, and regulatory compliance across SHEIN's global footprint. It is composed of a team of security professionals, innovators and thought leaders that have had decades of global security experience, led large scale transformations, and served in Fortune 500 executive roles.

We are looking for a GRC Communications & Training Intern for our Los Angeles, CA-based office, who will contribute to enhancing the SHEIN global security communications, awareness, and training program. This position will be part of a team of governance, risk, and compliance experts and work with technology partners and business units to protect SHEIN data, services, and information assets. The ideal candidate should have a passion for delivering effective and engaging awareness and training content, a general understanding of security technologies and best practices, and a strong desire to learn and contribute.
Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and promote security awareness programs, campaigns, and initiatives, in collaboration with corporate partners such as IT, HR, Corporate Communications, and Legal
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the online learning management system for security, along with tailoring awareness content for specific target audiences and geographic regions
  • Help promote a good understanding of company security policies and incorporate relevant industry standards into the awareness and training strategy
  • Support the development and delivery of monthly phish tests, including tracking and reporting results.
  • Contribute to the planning, development, and implementation of the company's annual Cyber Security Awareness Month event


Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree or higher in communications, information security, organizational development, business, or a related field is preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues for all levels of personnel
  • Experience in designing and creating engaging communications and training materials, strategy, and program management, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize accordingly
  • High level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exudes the appropriate level of judgment and maturity


Nice to have

  • Experience with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Premier and Illustrator is preferred
  • Knowledge of security and data privacy standards, regulations, and guidelines such as ISO 27k, NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, GDPR, CCPA is preferred


Pay: $30/hour
